My House
First, a little background: I am a seasonal employee, so the NPS assigned me to a temporary housing unit. The assignments were made with lowest paid employees getting the cheaper places, and so on. I apparently am one of the upper paid employees. So, I'm in a house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. That would be nice, except that the carpets are shot, the walls and ceilings have marks, and the furniture is shoddy. The other dwellings all have decent furniture. We're supposed to get new stuff, but we'll see.

Being an arid climate, all the plants outside are irrigated, and so we do have some green around, mostly palm trees and the like. The lake is a nice backdrop, but is down these past few years, so the bay I live on is large puddles.

The house is far enough away that my cell phone doesn't work there, so folks need to call and leave a message if they want to talk with me.
